How We Value Your Items
Every offer we make is based on real market data, not guesswork. Here's exactly how we calculate what we pay — so you know what to expect before you submit.
Our Valuation Process
Step 1
We research what your items sell for
We check completed eBay listings and active Vinted prices for your exact items — same brand, similar condition, same category. This gives us a realistic picture of what your items fetch on the open market right now, not what sellers are asking, but what buyers are actually paying.
Step 2
We factor in our costs
We're resellers — we sell on eBay and Vinted. Every sale has costs: eBay takes 12–15% of the final price, postage typically costs £2.50–£4.50 per parcel, and photographing and listing each item takes time. A £5 eBay sale might net us £2.50 after fees and postage. We factor all of this into our offer.
Step 3
We price for the lot, not individual items
We assess the average quality across your entire lot. If 80% of items are in great condition and 20% are average, we price to the average. We don't cherry-pick the best items and ignore the rest — we're buying the whole lot, so the mix matters. A well-sorted, consistent lot attracts a better overall offer.
Step 4
We account for selling time
Some items sell in 24 hours. Others might take 3 months. Seasonal items (winter coats in July, swimwear in January) will take longer to sell, so we factor in storage time. This is why submitting seasonal items in the right season gets you a better price.
What Percentage of Resale Value Do We Offer?
As a general rule, bulk buyers offer between 20% and 40% of individual resale value. On branded, in-demand items this can reach 40–50%. On slow-moving or unbranded items it can be as low as 15%.
This gap isn't unfair — it reflects our costs (fees, postage, time, storage) and the risk of buying items we haven't physically inspected. The value you get is speed, certainty, and zero listing effort.

Why we don't always break down our offers line by line
Our offers are based on the lot as a whole, not item by item. Breaking down 50 items individually would take hours and price the lot differently than buying it as one. If you want a rough sense of per-item value before submitting, our price guide covers typical ranges by category.
