Why baby and children's clothes have strong resale value
Kids outgrow clothes before they wear them out. A baby vest worn twice looks almost new. A 3-year-old's coat worn one winter is barely touched. This is one of the few secondhand categories where good condition is the norm — which means bulk lots of children's clothing consistently attract strong offers.

Per-item prices within a bulk lot. Lots sorted by age/size range typically attract better offers than completely mixed bundles.
What Affects the Price We Offer?
- Brand: Next, JoJo Maman Bébé, Joules, Boden, Mothercare and John Lewis own-brand fetch significantly more than supermarket or unbranded clothing.
- Condition: Baby and children's clothes that look barely worn command the best rates. Check for stains around collars and cuffs — a common issue that reduces value.
- Age range consistency: A lot of all newborn to 3 months is much easier to resell than a random mix of newborn to 10 years. Same-age bundles attract better offers.
- Season: Summer clothing submitted in winter (or vice versa) will be priced lower to reflect storage time. Year-round basics aren't affected.
- Quantity: Larger, well-sorted lots get better per-item rates. 30+ items in the same age group is ideal.
What We Don't Buy
How to Prepare Your Children's Clothing Lot
Sort by age range
Separate your lot into age groups where possible — newborn, 0–3m, 3–6m, 6–12m, 1–2y, 3–4y etc. It makes valuation faster and attracts better per-item rates.
Check for stains
Hold items up to the light and check collars, cuffs, and bibs. Remove or clearly flag anything stained — it's better to be upfront than to have your offer revised later.
Count and photograph
Give an item count and take a photo of the lot laid out — show us the age range labels if you can. It speeds up our review significantly.
