Why branded sportswear holds its value

Branded gym and sports clothing is one of the most actively traded secondhand categories on Vinted and eBay. Gymshark leggings, Nike hoodies, and Adidas tracksuit bottoms sell consistently and quickly. If your sportswear is in good condition and from a recognisable brand, it has real resale value in a bulk lot.

What We Pay for Bulk Sportswear

Brand is the single biggest factor in sportswear pricing. These are typical per-item prices for bulk lots of 10+ items.

Item TypeCondition RequiredTypical Price Range
Nike (T-shirts, hoodies, joggers)Good / Like new£2.00 – £8.00 per item
Adidas (T-shirts, hoodies, joggers)Good / Like new£2.00 – £7.00 per item
Gymshark (leggings, shorts, tops)Good / Like new£3.00 – £10.00 per item
Under ArmourGood / Like new£2.00 – £7.00 per item

PUMA, New Balance, ReebokGood / Like new£1.50 – £6.00 per item
Primark / H&M sportswear (unbranded)Like new£0.40 – £1.50 per item
Sports bras (branded)Good / Like new£1.00 – £5.00 per item
Running trainers (branded, good condition)Good£3.00 – £12.00 per pair

Per-item prices for bulk lots. Unbranded or low-quality gym wear commands significantly lower rates. Premium brands (Lululemon, Gymshark) attract the best offers.

What Affects the Price We Offer?

  • Brand tier: Lululemon and Gymshark lead the market. Nike and Adidas are close behind. PUMA, New Balance and Reebok are mid-tier. Unbranded gym wear is worth very little unless it's in pristine condition.
  • Condition: Pilling, fading, or stretched fabric significantly reduces value — even on premium brands. Good lighting in your photos helps us assess accurately.
  • Gender mix: Women's gym wear (especially leggings) resells faster on Vinted. A lot that's mostly women's branded gym wear commands better rates than a mixed male/female lot.
  • Type of item: Leggings and hoodies resell fastest. Vests and base layers are slower-moving, so command lower per-item offers.

What We Don't Buy

Heavily worn sportswear with significant pilling or fading
Items with strong sweat odour that won't wash out
Unbranded / budget sportswear in poor condition
Sports shoes with worn-out soles or structural damage
Counterfeit branded sportswear
Single items (minimum 10 pieces per submission)

How to Prepare Your Sportswear Lot

1

Check for pilling and odour

The two most common reasons sportswear gets rejected or revalued. Pilling fabric and persistent odour can't be fixed — be upfront or remove those items.

2

List the brands

Tell us which brands make up your lot. Even a rough breakdown ('mostly Nike and Adidas, some Gymshark') helps us price accurately before photos.

3

Photograph the labels

A photo showing brand labels alongside the garments removes all uncertainty and typically leads to a faster, better offer.
