Fee-Saving Tips

eBay: Use Free Listing Allowance

You get 1,000 free listings per month. After that, it's 35p per listing. Stay under the limit and your only fees are the final value fee on items that sell.

Amazon: Choose FBM for Heavy Items

FBA fulfilment fees on heavy/large items can eat your entire margin. For items over 2kg, consider FBM (ship yourself) and save £3-£6 per sale.

eBay: Negotiate Promoted Listing Rates

Start promoted listings at 2-3%, not the suggested 8-12%. Track which items sell organically and only promote slow movers.

Multi-Platform: Split by Item Value

High-value branded items → Amazon (trust + Prime). Mid-range → eBay (flexibility). Bulky/low-value → Facebook (no fees). Clothing → Vinted (seller pays nothing).
